New Exhibitor Briefing

Saturday, September 14, 2013

A New Exhibitor Briefing will be held during this Show. The briefing location &

time will be posted in the Judging Program. Spectators are welcome to attend.
 
 The briefing will tour you through the show grounds and explain the duties of the superintendent, AKC Field Staff, the event committee(s), ring steward, ring location(s), exercise area, grooming space and public education materials. As well as an explanation of dog show classes, points computation and verification of placements (judges book tear sheets).

 
Best Puppy in Show Competition

Thursday & Friday, September 12 & 13, 2013

For Puppy Dogs and Bitches ~ 6 & under 9 months and 9 & under 12 months

This AKC approved event allows the puppy class winner in each breed to be judged immediately

following Best of Breed to determine Best Puppy for that breed. An entry in the puppy class

that is awarded Best of Breed or Best of Winners would automatically be Best Puppy for that

breed. The Best of Breed Puppy Winners will compete in their respective group for First through

Fourth place. Best Puppy in Show will be selected from the seven group winners.

To celebrate the dedication and enthusiasm of owner-handler exhibitors the American Kennel Club has created the new AKC National Owner Handled Series. This non-titling competition will be held at select dog shows across the country.
